DUCCIO di Buoninsegna (b. ca. 1255, Siena, d. 1319, Siena) Appearence While the Apostles are at Table 1308-11 Tempera on wood, 39,5 x 51,5 cm Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, Siena Rather than referring to the episode told by Mark (in which Christ reproaches the eleven for not believing those who said they had seen him after his death), the Appearance at Table alludes to the story in Luke, where Jesus appears before the disciples and, to dispel all their doubts, eats with them.
