GOZZOLI, Benozzo (b. ca. 1420, Firenze, d. 1497, Pistoia) Women at the Tomb (detail) 1440-41 Fresco Convento di San Marco, Florence This is a detail of the Resurrection of Christ and Women at the Tomb, a fresco on the wall of Cell 8 of the Convento di San Marco in Florence painted by Fra Angelico with the collaboration of Benozzo Gozzoli who was an apprentice in Fra Angelico's workshop. Fra Angelico and his assistants were painting a small devotional fresco in each cell.
